Have you seen the movie Julie and Julia? Or read the book? Julie Powell became an internet celebrity with her 2004 blog recording her yearlong adventure cooking every recipe in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I am taking on a similar challenge, only I am blogging my way through a very healthy cookbook! And I will learn to master the art of healthy cooking! The book is called Eat For Health by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D. I will cook every recipe start to finish in four weeks just as they are laid out in the book. I will write about the recipes, show you pictures, and tell you how my SAD (Standard American Diet) eating, carnivorous husband likes them too. (See archives below.) He is behind me 100%!!

Happy birthday to me!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to show you the amazing birthday cake I made for myself! This recipe is one of the many incredible recipes located on Dr. Fuhrman's website (you have to be a member but it is TOTALLY worth it). The cake is called Banana Flag Cake and it was sooooooooooooo yummy! It is a 4th of July celebration cake--and my birthday is 5th of July so it was just perfect. It is topped with a nut based creamy frosting sweetened with dates, and tons of fruit. Fabulous and A+!!

Jana I decided to come give an update on my IBS.

I went on a paleo diet and now have relief.

I wanted to share, Rob Wolf has a book "The Paleo Solution" He suffered the same condition as your husband. He is now well.

He has a blog too, just goole his name, you will find him.
